Sally's Competition Tips Here

My Writing Articles (Most related to competition entries)

All comps are listed by closing date.

Note: I am not personally involved with any of the competitions listed. If you require more information about them, please contact the relevant organisers.

Note: If you wish me to list competitions in Writers Forum magazine, I need to know about them at least two months in advance. i.e. I need to know about comps that close in July by end April/beginning of May. For comps closing August and September, which is a double issue, I need to know by end May/beginning of June.  If you can let me know even sooner than that, all the better. As far as this website goes, I can pretty much list comps right up to the last minute, but it's a good idea to let me know well ahead of time to give visitors time to read about them.

I never knowingly list vanity publishers. If you come across a competition listed on this page which you think might be run by a vanity publisher, please let me know at squilford(at)gmail(dot)com. Meanwhile check out this page at the Academi website on Scams and Cons - Publishing For Money

More details of the competitions listed can be found by clicking on each link or on the Writing Competitions label on my blog.
